This month eBay China participated in the “Building a Trustworthy Online Market” organized by Shenzhen government. Shenzhen has just been appointed as the National Pilot Project of “Building a Trustworthy Online Market” by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce, and the cross border trade ecommerce has been identified as a priority.
The pilot project was officially launched by Mr. Chen Biao, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, Mr. Kuang Bing, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Market Supervision Bureau and other senior government officials.
Leigh Gui, Greater China CFO, signed a formal agreement with Shenzhen Government on eBay’s behalf. The document commits both parties to work together on building up a healthy online seller vetting system and helping the growth of online cross border trade business for owners of small and medium Chinese enterprises. eBay’s China Tang Lei also delivered a presentation on building a healthy online market.
