Earlier this week, we applauded the introduction of H.R. 1663, the Small Business Encouragement Act.  When the bill’s author, Congressman Allen West (FL-22) heard the news, he, in turn, thanked eBay for its support of the bill, which would provide tax credits to small businesses hiring unemployed workers.  A Member of the House Small Business Committee, Congressman West has focused much time and energy on encouraging the growth and success of our nation’s small businesses.  

In his letter, the Congressman calls the Internet “an incubator for small business growth and development” and pledges his commitment to ensuring small, Internet-enabled businesses have the tools they need to remain competitive in today’s economy.  We again applaud Congressman West’s commitment to Internet-enabled entrepreneurs, and we look forward to working with his office on other small business issues in the future.  Read the Congressman’s letter to eBay here.
