Julie Bainbridge, Head of PayPal’s Global Brand Risk Programme, played a significant role as a panelist in last week’s Digital Education Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Summit, entitled “Internet Sehat Dan Aman” (which translates to a safe & healthy internet), was a 2-day event launched by the Asia Internet Coalition together with the Ministry of Communication and Information (Depkominfo) with the aim of demonstrating how Indonesians can navigate the internet and use it in a positive way.
“The Internet contains amazing resources that people of all ages can use to improve their learning and education. However, for many parents, it is a struggle to learn how to use the various tools online. Our member companies hope that this session will teach Indonesian parents, teachers and community leaders how to use these tools, so that their children can then use our platforms properly,” said Executive Director, John Ure.
Julie Bainbridge shared 5 simple tips on how Indonesians can shop and pay safely online, “Online fraud can be avoided if consumers understand a few sensible tips and precautions that is applicable both online and offline. Most importantly, choose a safe and trusted method to pay.”
