eBay Inc. in Utah was given one of thirty nationwide “Community Impact CiCi Awards” by Trade & Industry Development magazine. eBay beat out hundreds of other companies for the award, which honors companies that make a large impact in their communities. After considering factors like number of jobs created, local unemployment numbers and the positive ways eBay has affected our local community in Utah, eBay was one of three recipients selected in the state. The awards ceremony was held in Salt Lake City, during Governor Gary Herbert’s “Governor’s Economic Summit.” Present to accept the award from Governor Herbert on eBay’s behalf were Scott Murray, VP of Global Service Solutions and Denise Leleux, VP of North American Customer Service. When Scott took the stage to accept eBay’s CiCi Award he thanked the state and local agencies who have been partners in our growth in Utah, and shared his excitement and our continued commitment to growing in the state of Utah. The award and plaque will be displayed in eBay’s new LEED ® Gold Certified Facility in Draper, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2013.
