Last week members of the Government Relations team traveled to eBay’s OPEN seller celebration in Las Vegas, NV. We were pleased to spend valuable time with the more than 1100 eBay sellers in attendance who joined us from across the globe. eBay sellers were able to stop by our eBay Main Street booth and learn more about how our global Government Relations team fights daily for legislation and regulation favorable to the hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs that use the eBay marketplace. Sellers were also able to hear about our grassroots advocacy programs, including eBay’s Small Business Ambassador Network.
Reflecting on the past year at eBay, Senior Vice President of North America Hal Lawton reminisced about his time at our 2016 Advocacy Day. He also reminded those in attendance that eBay exists solely because of its sellers and is committed to fighting for them whether it’s on Internet sales tax or cross border trade. Other highlights of the event included a forward looking keynote by eBay’s CEO, Devin Wenig, and the inaugural SHINE Awards for Small Business. Missed OPEN? Don’t worry you can watch the virtual recap here.
