Earlier this week, eBay was honored to host a delegation of German Members of Parliament and private sector representatives at our San Jose headquarters, in coordination with the American Chamber of Commerce Germany. The visit was part of AmCham Germany’s annual trip to Silicon Valley, allowing companies to meet with key players in technology policy.
eBay’s Vice President of Global Government Relations, Tekedra Mawakana, welcomed the group and provided introductory remarks about eBay’s business, with specific focus on our robust presence in Germany. The delegation also received information about eBay’s strong privacy protection measures as well as our omnichannel and seamless approach to innovative commerce. Finally, the group participated in a thoughtful dialogue about policy issues important to eBay and the hundreds of thousands of customers that use our platform to engage in a global market.
Thank you to the American Chamber of Commerce Germany for hosting and to the delegation for taking the time to visit us, we look forward to continuing the policy dialogue.
