PayPal participating in Victorian Small Business Festival

August 28, 2012

As part of Victoria’s small business festival, the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) will host an e-commerce seminar for retailers, Creating Success Online, this week (August 29), which will include a presentation from PayPal.

Victoria’s Small Business Festival runs through August with hundreds events throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. The festival will give small businesses the opportunity to learn practical new skills and access new ideas to help boost their productivity and competitiveness.

Russell Zimmerman, executive director at ARA, said the seminar would feature expert speakers to inspire and help retailers to take the crucial plunge into the online space.

“We know retailers are already embracing the opportunities available in the digital arena, and as such the ARA is pleased to offer much needed support and knowledge for retail businesses to grow the digital aspect of their operations,” Zimmerman said.

“The modern consumer now demands a seamless interaction between the multiple channels through which they choose to shop, and with online and m-commerce the biggest retail growth markets at the moment, they’re the very spaces retailers need to be in to reach their customers.”

“We know first hand how the growth in e-commerce has transformed our business and we’re pleased to help other local retailers benefit from the online shopping boom.”

The seminar, supported by Australia Post, the Victorian government, and the Australian Information Industry Association.
