We stand in solidarity with our Parisian employees, residents, and our community of buyers and sellers.

Our hearts go out to all of the people of Paris following the tragic attacks in the French city yesterday, which left at least 127 people dead.

We have done a check of our employees in the city, and we are thankful to report that all eBay colleagues in Paris, along with their families, have been declared safe.

Last week Singapore’s Senior Minister of State, in the Ministry of Trade & Industry, Lee Yi Shyan, delivered the keynote speech at the 2015 Singapore Retail Industry Conference. In this speech he urged local Singaporean retailers and SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) offering unique Singaporean products to explore partnering with global platforms like eBay to export their products worldwide.  

Last week a delegation from the European Parliament’s Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO) visited eBay’s headquarters in San Jose, California. The delegation was led by Vicky Ford, Chair of the IMCO Committee, and comprised of Members of the European Parliament, including Andreas Schwab, Lambert Van Nistelrooij, Dita Charanzova, Evelyne Gebhardt, Roza Thun and Catherine Stihler.
