Happy new year to all of our Small Business Ambassadors! We hope everyone who celebrates had a relaxing holiday season, and are excited to work with you all in 2025. 

Ecommerce issues will continue to be in focus in Congress and in state capitals around the country. The GR team is particularly focused on getting a permanent fix for 1099-K reporting after several years of IRS delays. And policymakers throughout the country are continuing to show interest in regulating how sellers operate on marketplaces. We engage with sellers on everything we do in Government Relations, and plan to adjust the format of our seller engagement in 2025 to best plug in your perspectives with high impact on legislation.

While we will still host a DC Advocacy Day, we will be moving the event from May to September in order to take full advantage of the 2025 legislative session. The Seller Advocacy team is also prioritizing cross-collaboration with other seller-facing eBay teams such as the Seller Community team. While we want to generate new opportunities to involve our Ambassadors in our advocacy efforts, we also want to meet you where you already are: at your seller meetups, socials, and eBay Business events.
