CeBIT Australia is the leading business event in the Asia Pacific region for Information and Communications Technology businesses.

The Strategy contains eight goals the Government plans to achieve by 2020. These include:

• Australia to rank in the top five OECD countries in the portion of businesses and not-for- profit organisations using the Internet to drive productivity,

• Australia to double the percentage of employees working remotely through telepresence technology.

• Four out of five Australians to engage with the government through the Internet or other online services

Senator Conroy said the Strategy would boost productivity, make the economy more competitive with those of other countries, and improve health and education services.
