Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, along with Executive Staff of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Phoenix City Manager David Cavasos, Phoenix City Councilmember Bill Gates and staff from the city Economic Development Department recently visited eBay’s North San Jose Campus. The delegation was in California for several meetings and visited eBay due to our strong investment and development in Arizona.

This was Mayor Stanton’s first visit to any eBay facility since becoming Mayor in January 2012.  Vice President of Data Center Strategy for Marketplaces, Dean Nelson, attended the meeting on eBay’s behalf, along with William Lasher, Senior Director, Indirect Tax,  Luke Matiasevich, Senior Manager, Tax and Marissa Larsen, Manager, Government Relations. The delegation received a business update, and had an excellent discussion about our presence in Arizona and then toured the PayPal Showcase. The visit was an excellent opportunity to develop a positive relationship with an influential policymaker and to share the great things we’re doing in Arizona.
