For Main Street members interested in getting involved and taking action on government policies that could impact commerce, a new Facebook app makes it easy to voice support for Congressional bills online.  From House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, the Citizen Cosponsor Project Facebook app enables you to become a ‘citizen cosponsor’ for congressional bills. 

As a citizen cosponsor of a bill, you share your support on Facebook and receive updates on the status of the bill as it moves through Congress.  The tool enables you to easily view complete bills and corresponding legislation text, but doesn’t allow user comments on bills.  As of now, there are six bills available to cosponsor, including a 20% small business tax cut and the JOBS act.  To learn more about the Citizen Cosponsor Project, visit http://www.majorityleader.gov/CITIZENS/.
