Last week, eBay sellers from across the United States represented the eBay Inc. community on Capitol Hill during the 8th annual U.S. of eBay Seller Fly-In event in Washington D.C. During their time in our nation’s capital, the eBay sellers had the opportunity to meet with their elected representatives in both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives to discuss public policy issues that could impact their business, like Internet sales taxes.
In addition to eBay sellers converging on Washington, D.C., eBay Inc. Deputy General Counsel and Vice President of Government Relations Tod Cohen, also participated in the fly-in and spoke on a panel about the importance of promoting public policies that encourage small business growth and development. In his remarks, Tod discussed the importance of protecting the first sale doctrine for physical goods and promoting trade policies that foster small business exports.
