During his tour, Chairman Goodlatte also met with representatives from the eBay, Inc. GR team to learn more about eBay’s concerns with the Internet sales tax proposal currently pending in Congress. As Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Chairman Goodlatte has jurisdiction on the Internet sales tax issue. eBay applauded the Chairman on the release of his Internet sales tax principles and his efforts to find a workable alternative to the so-called Marketplace Fairness Act, which would negatively impact thousands of small businesses all across the country.
