The eBay Americas Government Relations (GR) team is on the frontlines in Washington, D.C. educating policymakers about our customers, including the small online business community. We ensure your voice heard in our nation’s capital and in state legislatures around the country. For example, we know that tax and trade policy can have a huge effect on a small business’ bottom line and we continuously work to prevent bad public policy in these important areas.
eBay recently announced some changes to the eBay Americas GR team, including the appointment of Senior Director David London as the new head of the team. David brings deep experience in the technology industry and related public policy to eBay’s Washington, DC office, where he will be responsible for public policy strategy and issues management for the U.S. on both the federal and state level, as well as in Canada and Latin America.
“Having worked in Silicon Valley for almost two decades, I am excited to utilize my knowledge of public affairs within the tech industry and relationships with policymakers to ensure eBay continues to enable economic opportunity for people worldwide,” said David.
Joining London’s team is Laura Dooley, who recently started at the company as eBay’s Senior Manager of North American Government Relations. With a primary focus on state government affairs, Laura will be handling ecommerce issues in the eastern U.S., as well as StubHub and ticket-related issues across the U.S. and Canada. David and Laura join an existing team of seasoned U.S. GR professionals that includes Katie Stevens (State GR, West Regional), John Lawrence (Federal GR), Caitlin Brosseau (Federal GR) and Meredith Monti (GR specialist).
This mix of new and old Americas GR team members looks forward to continuing the fight for public policy that is helpful and fair to online buyers and sellers in North America and Latin America.
