Recently the German Association for Online Trade (BVOH) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a full day event in Berlin for online marketplace sellers. With well over 300 online sellers in attendance, the event provided a place for sellers and suppliers to meet, trade information on new trends and talk about the issues affecting all users of online marketplaces. In addition to eBay, the event featured a variety of very well-known German companies, including Check24, Deutsche Post, JTL and Rakuten.
Head of eBay Germany Stefan Wenzel kicked off the event with a keynote speech and eBay was heavily involved in the entire event. Head of eBay Government Relations for Germany Nikolaus Lindner led a political breakfast discussion, Senior Director of Seller Growth Denis Burger led a panel discussion, and numerous other eBay employees made presentations, led workshops, and manned booths.
This event was an excellent opportunity for eBay staff to speak directly to members of the eBay selling community. As one seller stated: “It’s nice the eBay shows its face and you can speak with eBay personally – face to face.” We couldn’t agree more and look forward to participating in these great BVOH events in the future.
