Today at 1:30pm EST, Brian Bieron, eBay Inc.’s Executive Director of Global Public Policy, will testify before the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing & Trade. The hearing, entitled “Cross Border Data Flows: Could Foreign Protectionism Hurt U.S. Jobs?”, will investigate emerging restrictions on cross border data flows and their impact on the international marketplace and U.S. job growth. In addition to eBay Inc., witnesses include National Association of Manufacturers, Georgetown University Law Center and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Bieron’s testimony will discuss how cross border data flows not only affects big, global businesses that have operations in multiple countries, but small and micro-businesses that are leveraging the Internet to engage in trade.
