eBay Inc. was honored to recently host Roger Wilkins, President of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) at eBay Inc. headquarters in San Jose.; Mr. Wilkins toured the eBay Inc. Commerce Innovation Showcase, experiencing new ways in which eBay and PayPal-enabled businesses around the world are using Internet and mobile technologies to grow and provide unique consumer experiences. He also spent time discussing the future of payments with John Muller, VP of Global Payments Policy at eBay Inc., and Gene Truono, PayPal’s Chief Compliance Officer.
The FATF, an intergovernmental body based in Paris and established in 1989, comprises 34 member jurisdictions and two regional organizations, representing most major financial centers in all parts of the globe, including the U.S., China, Russia, India, and countries in Europe and Latin America. The FATF sets standards and promotes effective implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures for combating threats to the integrity of the international financial system.
