Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, Bennie Thompson (D-MS), joined eBay Inc. Government Relations at our San Jose Headquarters yesterday to see firsthand how eBay Inc. is enabling global commerce and creating opportunities for small- and medium-sized businesses, like those found in the 2nd Congressional District of Mississippi.  eBay Inc. was thrilled to take Representative Thompson through the eBay Inc. Commerce Innovation Showcase, showing him how eBay Inc. technologies are changing the landscape for consumers and businesses alike - from conveniently paying at the local farmer's market through a PayPal Here device and application, to settling your restaurant bill without ever taking out your credit card.  Representative Thompson and eBay Inc. also engaged in a thoughtful discussion about policy issues important to the company and our customers, such as cybersecurity and Internet sales taxes.
