The memorandum outlines an agreement between the Ministry for agricultural policies and the Intesa Sanpaolo bank aimed at providing significant investments for the Italian agricultural and food industries. In his post, Prime Minister Renzi discussed the importance of agriculture and food to Italy’s economy and the future opportunities these sectors present for the nation. While enumerating the numerous measures that had already been taken to ensure the protection of these sectors, Prime Minister Renzi also highlighted the one-of-a-kind agreement that has been signed with eBay, which aims to defeat online agro-piracy and protect the Made in Italy brand, as a step in the right direction.
