PayPal has collaborated with SMEs in Singapore to create new payment solutions by leveraging our new mobile software development kit (mSDK) which enables in-app payments for local SMEs. These four SMEs – Coastes, HotelQuickly, My Laundry Box and Dilivr.it, occupy the traditionally labour-intensive F&B, travel, laundry and courier sectors but are leveraging innovative mobile technology to reinvent their business processes, enhance customer experience and boost productivity.
A case study conducted by the Singapore Productivity Centre on Coastes, a beach bar along Singapore’s Sentosa Siloso Beach, demonstrated that the adoption of the technology resulted in an average saving of 69 per cent in order and payment cycle time for the business. Coastes has also had a revenue increase of 20 per cent from reordering as a result.
We celebrated the first successful adoption of PayPal’s mobile in-app payment solution in Asia with an official launch at Sentosa on 1 October. We look forward to rolling this out to more local SMEs to enable their shift towards productivity-led growth. Check out highlights from the Pilot.
