Last week on eBay Radio, Tod Cohen, eBay Inc.’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Global Government Relations, discussed the 2014 midterm elections and the threat of internet sales tax in the lame-duck session of Congress.
“(As a Government Relations team), We have been focusing on the Marketplace Fairness Act during this lame duck session”, said Cohen. “Right now we are in the midst of trying to keep the bill from becoming law. Senate Leadership has promised that they would move this bill during the lame duck session, but we are trying to prevent the bill from passing.”
Tod Cohen also encouraged listeners to join eBay Inc.’s recent grassroots campaign and personally share their concerns with the Marketplace Fairness Act with Congress.
