Main Street Members Share Their Stories to Influence Public Policy

November 10, 2015

At eBay we’re fortunate to have customers who want to get involved. Whether interacting with a public official or the general public, nothing motivates people like a good personal story. Recently, we’ve had several Main Street members get involved in a variety of important causes:

  • U.S. House Small Business Committee Roundtable – eBay seller Rebecca Leigh from Washington D.C. attended a roundtable to educate members of the House Small Business Committee on tax policies that promote small, internet-enabled businesses.
  • Northern California Women’s Forum – eBay veteran seller Cindy Sorley participated in California Assemblywoman Beth Gaines 5th Annual Northern California Women’s Forum, leading two breakout sessions to inspire more women to begin selling on eBay.
  • Utah Women Business Leadership Conference – eBay seller and entrepreneur Melissa Paz inspired a crowd of nearly 250 Latina women at the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce Women Business Leadership Conference.

Thank you to all of our great Main Street Members and eBay sellers for their support of all Internet-enabled businesses.
