eBay’s Head of APAC GR Kristen Foster was featured in the November edition of the popular Australian B2B magazine BiziNet. This cover story documents Kristen’s career path and what motivated her to take on a role with a company like eBay. Starting with her upbringing in the Central West New South Wales town of Dubbo, the article chronicles a childhood focused on the values of hard work and human decency, a university education in journalism and political science, and post-graduate position with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that ultimately led her to her passion for government and current affairs.
Following a career with such diverse organizations as the United Nations and Visa, Kristen joined eBay two years ago, lured by her belief in our brand, eBay’s culture of giving back, and ecommerce in general. “In simple terms, through eBay, my country home town of Dubbo, and small businesses on eBay there, can do business with the world”, says Kristen. Her current role oversees the legislation, policies and free trade agreements that allow the seamless movement of goods and services across borders.
eBay couldn’t be happier having Kristen lead its APAC Government Relations function and we congratulate Kristen on this well-deserved spotlight on her many accomplishments throughout an amazing career.
