eBay’s Marie Huber, Jay Hanson and Mike Dabbs with Representatives Neal and Crowley
This week eBay welcomed Congressman Richie Neal (D-MA 1) and Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY 14) to our San Jose Campus. Both of the Representatives serve on the House Ways & Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over all tax and trade issues. Congressman Neal is the highest ranking Democrat on the committee and Congressman Crowley also serves as the Chair of the Democratic Caucus, a high ranking leadership position.
The Representatives spent time meeting with eBay CEO Devin Wenig, SVP, General Counsel & Secretary Marie Huber, VP North America, Merchandising and Hard Goods Jay Hanson and Sr. Director of Government Relations for the Americas, Mike Dabbs. The meetings were designed to provide Congressman Neal and Congressman Crowley with a better understanding of eBay’s business and to discuss public policies important to our business and our customers. The subjects discussed included small business exports, tax, job training and immigration.
We appreciate the Representatives taking the time to visit eBay and Silicon Valley. As always, the eBay Government Relations team will continue to work with legislators to promote public policies that keep the eBay marketplace – and it’s users – healthy and thriving.
