Last week, eBay hosted Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) at our headquarters in San Jose, California. Senator Cortez Masto was sworn in to the Senate in 2017 and serves on a number of Senate Committees. This includes the powerful Senate Commerce Committee which oversees technology and privacy issues and the Senate Banking Committee which oversees financial services policy.
The meeting was attended by a number of eBay senior leaders, including SVP of Americas Scott Cutler, VP of Global Government Relations & Public Policy Cathy Foster and VP of Tax Carol Tabrizi. The group had a productive conversation about trade, privacy, Internet sales tax, and the important contributions small businesses make to the economy. They also discussed eBay’s commitment to diversity and inclusion and the importance of a diverse workforce.
eBay would like to thank Senator Cortez Masto for taking the time to visit us in San Jose. As always, the eBay Government Relations team will continue to advocate for sound ecommerce public policy that supports all of our global customers.
