In August, the eBay Government Relations team brought US Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) to visit Linda’s Stuff, a family-owned eBay small business located in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.
Linda’s Stuff was founded by Linda Lightman, a former lawyer who went from selling her kids’ video games on eBay to running a successful consignment business with over 50 employees and a 93,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility.
The visit allowed Congresswoman Dean to see first hand how a small business owner can grow and thrive selling on eBay. Linda and her team showed her how they process, list, and ship thousands of items every day. The congresswoman also met with employees who help to photograph, list and ship inventory for eBay, and toured the studio where Linda’s Stuff hosts their daily eBay Live events. The Government Relations team is always looking for opportunities to bring your stories to life, and bringing policymakers to see how sellers run their business is a great way to help them understand how policies impact the eBay seller community.

More About Linda’s Stuff:
Company founder and CEO Linda Lightman, a former lawyer, took a leap of faith in 2001 to become an entrepreneur and innovator on eBay. Her business started in her home, after her kids asked her to list some of their old video games on eBay. Linda quickly saw the potential for selling online, and began to list her own designer luxury goods on eBay before eventually reselling items on behalf of friends until Linda’s Stuff was officially born. Today, Linda presides over a company that has grown out of her home into a successful consignment business with over 50 employees and a 93,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility.
