This week eBay Inc.’s Dusty Brighton participated in a panel discussion at the Ticketing Professionals Conference in Sydney regarding the secondary ticket market.

eBay was joined on the panel with other representatives from industry including: Maria O'Connor, Managing Director, Ticketmaster Australasia; Craig McMaster, CEO, Showbiz; Christopher Plowman, CEO, Lasttix; and Zoya Sheftalovich, Investigative Journalist, CHOICE. The panel discussed various issues including on-selling tickets on the secondary market, the impact of government regulation on tickets, and issues currently facing the industry. Most panel members expressed the view that government regulation into the secondary ticket market was unnecessary and not in the benefit of consumers.

Dusty Brighton, Government Relations Director for eBay Inc. is visiting Australia this week from the United States and meeting with various government and industry representatives concerning the secondary ticket market.
