This week, Hanne Melin of eBay Inc.'s Public Policy Lab attended an exclusive roundtable organized by the Milken Institute in London discussing how policy and regulation can responsibly facilitate new financial technologies ("FinTech"). The focal point for the debate was a paper just released by the Institute outlining the building blocks of a "21st Century Regulator's Toolkit."

PayPal has collaborated with SMEs in Singapore to create new payment solutions by leveraging our new mobile software development kit (mSDK) which enables in-app payments for local SMEs. These four SMEs – Coastes, HotelQuickly, My Laundry Box and Dilivr.it, occupy the traditionally labour-intensive F&B, travel, laundry and courier sectors but are leveraging innovative mobile technology to reinvent their business processes, enhance customer experience and boost productivity.
