Last week, Representative Barbara Comstock (R-VA/10) hosted two eBay sellers – Chris Hansen (C2 Management) and Jeff Bollettino (Metro DC Music) – at her district office for a roundtable policy discussion on Internet sales tax (IST). Since Congress may address the IST issue before the end of the year, it is critical that Members of Congress hear from their constituents about the negative implications of the proposals under consideration.

Last week members of the Government Relations team traveled to eBay’s OPEN seller celebration in Las Vegas, NV. We were pleased to spend valuable time with the more than 1100 eBay sellers in attendance who joined us from across the globe. eBay sellers were able to stop by our eBay Main Street booth and learn more about how our global Government Relations team fights daily for legislation and regulation favorable to the hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs that use the eBay marketplace.

Today Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine visited eBay and met with eBay VP of Global Government Relations Tekedra Mawakana, ACG & Legal Head of Litigation, Patents and Technology Brandon Pace and Government Relations Senior Manager & Counsel John Lawrence. The team met with the Attorney General in the newest addition to the eBay San Jose Campus, the eBay Main Street Building, which included a look at the many interactive displays showing the global reach of eBay and its customers.
