Today, as our Nation pauses to honor our veterans and heroes, eBay’s Government Relations team would like to thank the men and woman who have bravely served our country at home and overseas. Their courage, bravery and selflessness are shining examples of what makes our country great and we would like to honor them, not only today, but every day.

We would also like to thank some eBay Main Street Members whom have proudly served our country.

As you have probably read, John Boehner recently decided to resign from his position as Speaker of the House of Representatives.  Former Vice Presidential candidate and Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Paul Ryan (R-WI/1), will be the new Speaker.  This is a significant development in the sales tax fight, since the Speaker has the ability to control what legislation is considered on the floor.  In fact, if not for Speaker Boehner’s decision to block the Marketplace Fairness Act (MFA) at the end of last year, it could be law today.  Speaker Ryan’s position on the

Last month, the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) hosted a discussion in Washington, D.C. on the topic of diversity and inclusion in Silicon Valley. Over 500 attendees from federal agencies, non-profits, private companies, and HBCU presidents and all-star students attended the event. Kelly Minton, from the Office of the CIO (OCIO), represented eBay at the meetup, and shared eBay’s commitment to moving the needle in terms of diversity and inclusion.
