To support Singapore’s vision to become a Global Intellectual Property (IP) hub in Asia, the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) recently announced its investment of 65 million Singapore dollars to ramp up IP manpower and capabilities in Singapore in 2013. A new comprehensive framework known as the IP Competency Framework (IPCF) would be the key to build the capability of IP professionals in Singapore.

The new ePaymentsCode will take full effect this week, formally taking over from its predecessor, the Electronic Funds Transfer Code (EFT Code), following an 18-month transition period. The ePaymentsCode is an important tool in the regulation of electronic payment products in Australia and provides a best practice consumer protection regime for electronic payments.

He says that eBay and PayPal invest in technology and platforms to help local retailers leverage omni-channel retail and better access consumers. He discusses how eBay has evolved from an auction house to where nearly 80% of items on eBay.com.au are at a fixed price.
